Glen Westall

A/Prof Glen Westall MBBS PhD is a recognized international leader in lung transplantation and lung fibrosis. He is a co-investigator of the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis and co-investigator on five NHMRC project grants. A/Prof Westall is the principal investigator of an open-access national human lung tissue bank that facilitates research into chronic lung disease.

As an academic clinician, he has established a number of translational international projects with industry partners that have taken discoveries in basic science to the clinical interface. National and International recognition of his research has resulted in a number of competitive career development awards.

Glen has been invited to participate in a number of international consensus groups that define the current state of lung transplantation, and he has written a number of invited editorials in the field of lung transplantation.
